Sales Account Manager

Salary: £25000 - £30000

Location: Cambridge

There is an immediate vacancy for an Sales Account Manager role to work in our clients sales team.
Applicants for this role must have authorization to work in the UK.

This is an excellent chance to develop your career with a leading and respected Security Solutions Provider. You will be working closely with the sales team to provide additional sales resource for an extremely busy sector. You will be talking to existing and new clients by phone, and attending external meetings as necessary. You will also work closely with internal sales support resource who will provide admin and back-office resource for the work you create.

First and foremost you will be an experienced and self-motivated sales professional, with an
organised, consultative approach to generating new business opportunities, a good understanding of relevant markets and be capable of developing business right from personal prospecting to closure, with a clear understanding of deadlines and targets. As well as excellent numeracy skills you will be highly organised, and you'll ideally have five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above, including Maths.

Main Duties

• Managing existing customer relationships and introducing new products and services.
• Developing new customer business.
• Following up marketing campaigns as necessary.
• Maintaining the customer and prospect database.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with all key suppliers.
• Working closely with the senior account manager who will define which customers and
  prospects you will engage with.

Experience and skills
Essential:

• Demonstrable track record of success in sales
• Experience of working to specific targets and KPIs
• Experience of developing mutually beneficial relationships with customers
• Fluent grammatical and numeracy skills – for accurate customer communications
• Ability to work closely with members of a sales team

Desirable:

• Understanding of the IT Security market
• Experience of developing and monitoring business and account plans
• Experience of sales procedures within a high-volume business
• Recognised formal sales or business qualification
• Five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above, including Maths

• Be tenacious
